Back in 1959, Antonio Gessaroli and a few friends founded Staff Ice System in the fishing and touristic town of Rimini, Italy on the Adriatic coast. Rimini was at the time and still is a vacation resort destination replete with bars, restaurants and discotheques where the need for ice for beverages and food was a major consideration for the local operators. While the initial goal was to supply the seaside towns with equipment, Antonio soon began to distribute ice cube and flake ice machines throughout Europe.
Building on the success of the ice machines, Staff Ice System responded to market demand from the local gelaterie and restaurants for reliable gelato machines and soon Staff Ice was producing a wide range of batch freezers, heat treatment and aging appliances along with machines with multiple functions for the production of custard cream, iced cream and various confectionary and savory sauces and mixtures for ice cream shops, gelaterie, bakeries, restaurants, hotels and caterers throughout Italy and Europe.
Staff’s philosophy has always been based on thorough research, thoughtful expansion, high-level design, as well as protection of the environment. This outlook has allowed Staff to expand throughout the world and to rise above the fray of a more and more competitive market. In addition to an innovative mentality, the experience and reliability of 40 years of manufacturing, blended with an influx of young personnel, give Staff its force and enthusiasm.
Acting on the encouraging increase in the sales and interest in our products and building on its extensive experience in the ice and ice cream machine industry, Staff Ice System created a partnership with knowledgeable and talented professionals in the United States for the sales and distribution of their products in the American market.
We serve a niche market with quality specialty products with its gelato and pastry cream machines and the wider hospitality market with our ice machines. We have envisioned a transfer of European traditional know-how in the culinary and baking fields and modern European technological advancements to serve North American customers entering or expanding their catering, restaurant, bakery or hotel businesses.
